February 3, 2016 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting
The regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on February 3, 2016 at 7:38 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.
Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.
Commissioners present: Ed Sheehan, Bill Higgins, Sr., Bill Higgins, Jr. and Ray Hughes

Chiefs Report
Chief Mackey passed out the percentages.
Chief Mackey is in the process of talking to each firefighter. Some of the firefighter percentages are going up.
Inventory of gear was done. They need five extrication gloves for stock. There are none left. Also need five helmets.
Greene and Stellmach need hepatitis shots. Need to talk to the doctor about getting all firefighters a hepatitis shot.
There should only be two guys in the radio room at a time.
Stellmach needs to know how much for the Chiefs ring.
Drivers need to take their gear when going out on a call.
Two guys need a full set of gear.
A new computer needs to be put in the Chiefs truck.
They need a defibrillator in the upstairs hall. Doughtery can look at the defibrillators that are in the Commissioner's office than order a new one.
FDIC - We sent two guys last year and the grant covered it.
Fire Expo is in Nashville this year. Cost is $1,800.00. Looking to see if there is a grant for it.
Tony G is going to see if there is grant that will cover the cost of the explorer jackets.
Commissioners gave ok for Tony to see if there is any grant money for the above three items.
Treasurer's Report

A motion to accept treasurer's report was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by Commissioner Higgins, Jr. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.

Commissioner Hughes will take a look at Mike's list. The guys need to be more responsible with their stuff. They should start putting their number of their gear.

Commissioner Higgins will call the doctor on Friday and see if firefighters need a booster shot. Will also talk to him about physicals.

He got last of the college grades to pay the bill. Will still have money left over to do spring of 2017 and another Ohio trip.
