July 6, 2016 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting
The regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on July 6,2016 at 7:30 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.
Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.
Commissioners Present: Ed Sheehan, Bill Higgins, Jr. Ray Hughes, and Bill Stellmach
Excused; Jim Souza
Chiefs Report
Went over list of things the Chief has requested and is still waiting for.
Commission Stellmach would like the Chief to organize training for mass destruction and active shooter.
Treasurer's Report

Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins
Talked about the roof at the agenda meeting. Also brought up buying some new chairs for the hall. Looking to see if we can get some examples up here before we purchase them.
Water and Hydrants, Commissioner Higgins
Progress Discussed the three new hydrants going where the new townhouse are being built on Inman Ave.
Insurance, Commissioner Hughes
Canceled the old Expedition.
Alarms and Radio, Commissioner Stellmach
Have a quote on the radios. Once everything is squared away with the powers to be is it ok to to go ahead and do it.
Commissioner Higgins made a motion that once you get all the id's and go ahead and schedule it. Seconded by Commissioner Sheehan. Motion passed.
Trucks and Equipment, Commissioner Sheehan
Went over everything in agenda meeting
Purchasing, Commissioner Hughes
Everything that was ordered is in.
Old Business
A motion was made by Commissioner Higgins to set up an account with............... to fix any
repairs. Commissioner Sheehan seconded the motion. Motion passed.
New Business
Commissioner Higgins spoke with the President of Columbia Bank. She would like to come up to one of our meeting and introduce herself sometime in September or October.
Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by Commissioner Higgins, Jr. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
