July 11, 2018 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting
The Regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on July 11, at 8:00 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.
Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.
Commissioners present: Ray Hughes, Bill Stellmach, Ed Sheehan, Bill Higgins

Chiefs Report
The Commissioners will get back to the Chief on the four men going to the Fire Expo after they look at their percentages.
The firematic officers will try to train more guys to drive.
The new Scott pack batteries need to be replaced every six months, and the Chiefs office will take care of this.

Treasurer's Report, Commissioner Higgins for Commissioner Fugaro
Motion to accept the Treasurer's report was made by Commissioner Stellmach and seconded by Commissioner Sheehan. Motion passed.
Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins
Commissioners voted to go ahead with the low bidder on the floor. A motion was made by Commissioner Higgins and seconded by Commissioner Stellmach. Motion passed.
Floor is done.
Commissioner Higgins is still waiting for the first aid door fobs.

Portable is getting repaired and should be done by late August.
Trucks and Equipment, Commissioner Sheehan
A motion was made by Commissioner Stellmach and seconded by CommissionerSheehan to purchase new attack lines for 3 engines under state contract. Motion
passed.
Commissioner Higgins made a motion to purchase a new air compressor for $8,990.00 which was the low bidder. Commissioner Sheehan seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Commissioners discussed the mutual aid agreement with District #9 and it was tabled.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Commissioner Stellmach and seconded by Commissioner Higgins. Motion passed.
