August 14, 2013 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting
The regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on August 14, 2013. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.
Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Everything is running good.
Hired some more people and are still going to look for a couple more.

Treasurer’s Report, Commissioner Souza

A motion to accept treasurer’s report was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by Commissioner Higgins, Sr. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins, Sr.
We have to get together will the chief and get all of the stuff out of the back room that is no good.

The hallway and the bathroom downstairs the tiles/floors need to be cleaned. Maybe we can reach out to that guy and have him come in and scrub them down.

Commissioner Higgins, Jr. had a meeting with Stephanie and the cabinet guy. They are waiting on him to get back to them with a couple of designs so they can decide whether they will move the wall back. Also waiting on a couple of contractors to get some prices.

Going to Wildwood next month to look at pumpers and the Tahoes that are down there and an ambulance.
Purchasing, Commissioner Hughes, Jr.
Helmets are on order in addition to the matching shield.
The guys who are getting boots have to go up and get fitted. Two guys have done that so far and have gotten their boots already.

When checking the vehicles out on drill there was a couple of the pumpers that were half full. The drivers need to check the gas and if they are below a certain point they need to top it off.
