April 4, 2018 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Agenda Meeting

The Agenda meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on April 4, at 7:30 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Commissioners present: Ray Hughes, Bill Stellmach, Ed Sheehan, Bill Higgins and Joe Fugaro

Chief Mackey is away on business.

Two new explorer's were introduced to commissioners.

Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins

Commissioner Higgins got another quote for the floors upstairs. Commissioners agreed that no matter where Commissioner gets the best price to just accept it and have the contractor start the job.

Key fobs for the First Aid building were ordered.

Will have the day guys replace the new ceiling tiles that need to be fixed.

Commissioner Stellmach is still trying to track down one portable.

The lights are out on 12-2. Absolute is getting the part.
Cars will be started in the next couple of days for maintenance.

Air packs are almost finished. Eight more still need to be done.
Cameras are not in. They are now made to order so it will take longer.

Avenel Firehouse is redoing their kitchen and are coming over to take a look at what
was done here.
Commissioner Higgins attended the Townships Officer's meeting a couple of weeks ago. A radio company is coming in to do a demonstration and they are asking for one Commissioner from each fire company attend. Commissioner Higgins will attend for Colonia.

A motion was made by Commissioner Stellmach and seconded by Commissioner Fugaro to adjourn meeting. Motion passed at 7:43 pm.
